Compared to this time last year, in our area, current inventory and new listings are down, pending and closed sales are up, and the median sales price is up. Below are detailed stats by area. In short, this is a great time to sell! With interest rates at all time lows, it's also a great time to buy! And if you're thinking of investing, now is also the time, as rentals are in high demand.

In East Baton Rouge Parish:

- Year to date, new listings are down 10% compared to this time in 2019.
- Pending sales are up 11.2% compared to this time last year.
- Closed sales are up 7.0% compared to last year.
- The median sales price is up 5.3% from this time last year.
- Inventory of homes for sale is down 33.4% compared to this time last year.

In Ascension Parish:

- Year to date, new listings are up 3.0% compared to this time in 2019.
- Pending sales are up 12.9% compared to this time last year.
- Closed sales are up 6.6% compared to last year.
- The median sales price is up 4.5% compared to this time last year.
- Inventory of homes for sale is down 27.8% compared to this time last year.


In Livingston Parish:

- Year to date, new listings are down 6.2% Compared to this time in 2019.
- Pending sales are up 23.3% compared to this time last year.
- Closed sales are up 14.7% compared to last year.
- The median sales price is up 3.8% from this time last year.
- Inventory of homes for sale is down 44.3% compared to this time last year.
