2020 Year in Review

Although Covid-19 negatively affected the Greater Baton Rouge real estate market early on, the market quickly bounced back and we have seen a surge in home sales, with most selling for closer to asking price than in years’ past.

Supply is Still Down…

- In 2020, the average homes for sale each month decreased by 21.4%
- In 2020, the average number of new listings each month decreased by 5.2%

Demand is Still High…

- In 2020, the 12-month average sales price increased by 6.3%
- In 2020, the 12-month average percent of list price received increased by 0.3%
- In 2020, the average number of closed sales each month increased by 14.4%
- In 2020, the average number of days a home was on the market decreased by 1.4%
